Nestled in the heart of the pine forest is Golf du Touquet’s historical “La Forêt” 18-hole course, dating back to 1904. It offers beginners and experienced players an exciting challenge.
A dogleg left par 5 to start with. With bunkers on your left and water on your right, you need to hit it straight! Leave yourself a 70-100 m approach to keep your feet flat. Try to land your approach shot at the back of the green to give yourself an uphill putt.
Line up your shot to the right of the fairway bunker. The green is very sloping. Land well on the green and you could putt a birdie.
Line up your shot to the right of the fairway bunker. The green is very sloping. Land well on the green and you could putt a birdie.
This is one of the trickiest holes on the course. A dogleg left par 4. A tee shot to the right side of the fairway is less risky. If you reach the green in two, give yourself a pat on the back!
A dogleg right par 5. Aim for the left part of the fairway if you want your second shot to be in sight of the green. The closer you get to the hole, the narrower the fairway gets. Play strategically!
An attractive par 3 into the trees. Aim for the back of the green to land on the flat. If the flag is at the front of the green… good luck!
This par 4 will have you breaking out in a cold sweat. Take your time with your tee shot. Stay on the left of the green on the approach for an easier putt.
A downhill par 3. Take your time analysing how the green slopes and you might be in with a chance of a birdie!
This is the most difficult hole on the course. The perfect tee shot would be a draw drive landing to the left of the bunkers. Less ambitious players should stick to the start of the fairway. The green is quite flat but protected by 2 bunkers. May good luck be with you!
No real danger with the tee shot. Move up a club on the approach to reach the raised green.
A dogleg left par 5. Hit your tee shot to the right of the fairway to approach the green more comfortably. The green’s many slopes won’t make your job any easier.
An attractive and well defended par 3. Choose the best club to get you to the middle of the green.
This left-dogleg par 4 will be a real challenge. Play to the right of the fairway and your second shot will be more open to the green. The green is raised, so move up a club.
A right-dogleg par 4. No real problems with the tee shot. Take your time analysing the green’s many slopes.
A short par 3, often accompanied by a head wind. Choose your club wisely to get to the green!
No question about the tee shot: drive it straight! Try to get your second shot to the base of the mound before executing a perfect rolling approach shot onto the green.
Line yourself up with the radio mast for your tee shot. The green is flat and only defended by one bunker, but it’s not that easy to make par!
A short par 4 to finish off with. Watch out for the trees on both sides of the fairway when you take your tee shot. Aim for the back of the green on your approach to avoid the bunkers. You’ll finish your round opposite the terrace, ready for your 19th hole beer!
